GM ATTORNEYS

OUR HISTORY

When our founding partner, Jorge Granados, established GM Attorneys in 1978, it was only him and his secretary in an office in San Jose, personally serving each client. In 1979 he partnered with another lawyer. At that time it was not conceptualized that a lawyer - even if he was just a graduate - worked as an assistant to another lawyer. It was clear that by the end of the 80s, in Costa Rica, different lawyers, who were associated to share expenses, many of them had young lawyers, as their assistants. However, the concept of a law firm, as such, was not known, as it is today.
